Realtors in Calgary Alberta and what they can do to sell in this market

Challenging Clients: what’s your strategy?

We all have challenging clients. While I’d love to say we should learn from them because they make us better at our jobs, they can also turn a great day bad, very quickly.

I’ve had a few challenging clients of late and they are all challenging in their own way. Some might simply be technologically challenged, so I have to do everything face-to-face, while others have concerns about the market.

Whatever the “challenge”, do you have ways of dealing with these clients?

Challenging clients: Love ’em or leave ’em?

REM recently posted an article about conflict resolution. The article was great and reaffirmed that current technology, especially if you rely on it heavily, can foster an environment of miscommunication, misunderstanding and frustration. Often a conflict isn’t actually a conflict, or didn’t have to be. Sometimes it’s a perceived conflict based on the medium of communication.

If you do have a conflict on your hands, Ross Wilson’s article gives you great insight into the adage, “the customer is always right.”

This article is the one that got me thinking more and more about clients. Specifically, the ones that are more challenging than others. Conflict though, doesn’t come with all “challenging clients”. So what other kinds of challenging clients have you had?

How to effectively deal with challenging clients

I found another article that I just love! It’s about all the different personality challenges you might face. This blog not only describes many of the clients you might meet, it also gives you a step by step process that offers further guidance on effective communication with whatever type of challenging client you may encounter.

Turn challenges into opportunities! Learn how to deal with the different personality types you’ll encounter in your job, personal relationships and just living your daily life. I truly believe you’ll have less stress and sleep better!
