Here's who you'll actually be working with.

I became a mortgage broker because my bank let me down.

Not once — repeatedly. They never called when rates dropped. Never reached out when I could have saved money. I had to chase the information myself, try to decode the jargon, and figure out what questions I was even supposed to be asking. It was exhausting — and it was wrong.

So in 2011, I got my license and decided to be the person I needed back then.

Someone who actually reaches out. Who explains things in plain language. Who doesn’t just get you a mortgage — but stays in your corner long after the papers are signed.

That experience shapes everything about how I work with clients and my team today. I know what it feels like to sit across from a process that wasn’t designed with you in mind. And I know how different it feels when someone finally just gets it — when the confusion lifts and you realize you actually understand what’s happening with one of the biggest financial decisions of your life.

That’s what I want for every single person I work with.

What you can expect working with me and my team

You’ll feel heard. You’ll never feel rushed or judged — whether you’re navigating a tight budget, rebuilding credit, or have no idea where to start. We begin wherever you are.

You’ll always know what’s happening. No chasing us down for updates. No wondering what comes next. We communicate proactively — because that’s what I wished someone had done for me.

You’ll get a strategy, not just a mortgage. Buying a home is the beginning, not the end. We’ll work with you through renewals, rate changes, and whatever life brings — so the equity you build stays with you, not the bank.

I got into mortgages to build real relationships with clients as they make some of the biggest decisions of their lives — not just to push files through.

I work with borrowers at every stage, and I’m especially glad to take on the more complex files — the ones that need more time to get right. Maybe you’re self-employed with income that’s hard to prove on paper. Maybe you’re a new investor eyeing your first rental property. Maybe you’re 20 properties deep and need someone who actually understands your portfolio. I’ve worked with all of these, and I know how to get them across the finish line.

I ask a lot of questions before I recommend anything. Not all mortgages are created equal, and getting you into the right one means understanding what you’re actually trying to build — not just what you qualify for on paper. Clients tell me I bring a calm, reassuring approach to files that feel complicated, and I take that seriously: your specific situation comes first, every time.

I’m also a real estate investor myself — I’ve built a residential rental portfolio of single-family homes in Calgary and Red Deer, with a pet-friendly niche — so I’ve sat on your side of the table too.

Fun fact: I’m seriously addicted to Slurpees, Häagen-Dazs, and golf.

My journey into real estate started in 2017, when I left oil and gas to chase something I actually cared about: helping people buy homes. I spent six years as a home inspector first, and that’s where I saw it up close — how stressful the mortgage process can be. I’d actually felt that stress myself, back in 2005, when I bought my own first home. That experience is what pushed me toward becoming a broker myself.

Now my whole approach is built around clear communication. I break the process down so you know exactly what’s happening and why, at every step — no guessing, no jargon you’re left to figure out on your own. I also make a point of keeping referral partners in the loop throughout, because the relationships built on trust are the ones that actually work.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors with my family — hiking, biking, or skiing, depending on the season.

My goal for you: a homeownership journey that’s stress-free. Maybe even a little exciting.

Most Alberta brokers work in one market. I have chosen to work in three.

My family’s life is split between Alberta and Mexico, and that path took me into the Canadian, US, and Mexican mortgage markets—somewhere most brokers never go. I help clients purchase and finance property in Mexico, and I can also refinance a Canadian or US property to pull out the equity needed to make that purchase happen. When your plans cross a border, I already know what’s possible.

Before I became a broker, I spent more than a decade in health and safety for oil and gas in Western Canada. My job was to spot problems early, keep things moving under pressure, and never let complexity become an excuse for a bad outcome. That’s still how I work.

Whether you’re buying your first home, refinancing, investing in a property, or working through something that doesn’t fit the standard template — I start by understanding the whole picture. Then we find what actually works for your situation.

If there’s a problem, we’ll find the solution. Together.

I’m Calgary-based and client-first, with a background in real estate media and a real passion for helping people through one of the biggest financial decisions they’ll make.

I specialize in working with first-time homebuyers — breaking the process down, cutting through the jargon, and finding what actually fits your life, not just what fits a lender’s checklist.

My roots are in Calgary’s real estate industry. Years spent working alongside Realtors and building relationships across the city give me a perspective most brokers don’t have — I understand the full picture of a transaction, not just the financing piece.

Whether you’re buying your first home or still figuring out where to even start, I’m here to make it feel less overwhelming and a lot more clear.

Buying a home isn’t really about the mortgage. It’s about what happens inside your home — the routines, the milestones, the everyday moments you don’t get back.

I came to mortgages from a career in outdoor recreation — work I genuinely loved. Then our family grew, and so did my sense of what I wanted to do with my days. I wanted work that let me help people through something that actually mattered, with the flexibility to be there for the moments at home that don’t come back. Making that change wasn’t easy, but it was right.

That’s how I found my way here.

As a mom, I understand that what you’re really doing when you buy a home isn’t securing financing — you’re creating the space where your kids grow up, where Sunday mornings happen, where your family’s everyday life unfolds. I don’t take that lightly, and I bring that perspective into every client relationship.

My journey from outdoor recreation to mortgages has taught me that sometimes the biggest changes in life lead us exactly where we’re meant to be. For me, this is that place — and my greatest motivation will always be the little people waiting for me at home.
